Custom dictionaries

Custom dictionaries give you a way to add your own terms to the Merops recognition system. This has three main uses:

1. Reducing unnecessary comments You can add a term that was previously unmatched by Merops, to make sure it doesn’t alert you to that term again.
2. Improving recognition You can add a term with a specific category to help Merops recognition. For example, adding ‘Journal of Copy-Editing’, with a category ‘Journal Title’, can help Merops recognize that phrase in the context of a reference.
3. Creating your own rules You can add comments or hyperlinks to terms, or your own automatic corrections by setting 'spelling errors' (see Custom term attributes).
