Managing custom dictionaries

You can enable and disable, and create new custom dictionaries from the Custom Dictionaries page of the Merops Options dialog box:

To enable a custom dictionary, simply check the box to the left of that dictionary name.

You can create new dictionaries, by clicking New.

Importing custom dictionaries

If you recieve a custom dictionary via email, or other method, you will need to copy it to your custom dictionaries folder before you can use it. You can do this manually by pasting the file into your custom dictionaries folder, or you can do it from the Custom Dictionaries page of the Merops Options dialog box. Click Import…, and you will then be able to select a custom dictionary from any location. Once imported, this custom dictionary will appear with your other custom dictionaries and can be used and edited in the usual way.

Exporting custom dictionaries

Merops makes it possible to copy your custom dictionaries to a selected folder on your computer or network, so that they can be used on another computer. To do this, on the Custom Dictionaries page of the Merops Options dialog box, select the custom dictionary you want to copy, and click Export…. Select the destination folder and click Save.

Deleting custom dictionaries

To delete a custom dictionary, select the one you want to delete and click Delete. The selected custom dictionary will be removed from the global custom dictionaries folder, and from the list of available custom dictionaries.
