Document Statistics
Document Statistics is an advanced word count tool. It works in a similar way to the built in word count tool in Microsoft Word, but with a few extra features. For example, you can choose which styles to ignore, so you can get a word count that doesn't include the references, contents page, and tables.
To show the Document Statistics dialog box, click 
Document Statistics on the Merops: Home tab.
