Invert Table
Sometimes, you may want to flip a table diagonally, so the columns become rows and the rows become columns. This tedious task can be done in seconds, by placing the cursor in the table you want to invert, then clicking the Invert Table button (see below). Tables with vertically and horizontally merged cells cannot be inverted.
Word 2007–2019
This button is found on the TABLE TOOLS: LAYOUT tab, which becomes visible when the cursor is placed in a table.
Word 2000–2003
This button is found on the Merops: Reviewing toolbar.
