Merops now uses real-time information from Wiktionary to improve its results, including:

Fewer ’unmatched term‘ comments
Case correction on terms that would be otherwise unknown to Merops
More suggestion definitions for undefined abbreviations
Better language detection

Merops is better at recognizing abbreviation definitions within the text
More definition suggestions when no definition is found (using Wiktionary)
More targeted suggestions, using subject and language detection

Over 1000 recognition improvements
100s of corrections to Merops‘s dictionaries and databases
Many bugs fixed
More consistent recognition when different Standard Sets are used
We‘ve more than doubled the volume of routine regression tests
A new automated processing test system runs 5 times more frequently than previous manual tests, and catches bugs the human eye could miss
Many new ’bug catcher‘ tools can find coding errors before they cause a problem

These new systems mean that future updates will come quicker, with more powerful and exciting new features.
