Shabash is now a carbon-neutral company

24 June 2026

We’re pleased to announce that Shabash is now officially a certified carbon-neutral company.

As a software business, our environmental footprint is already relatively small. The products we develop, including Thrix and Merops, have an energy-efficient architecture, and we aim to make responsible choices throughout the business. We use renewable energy sources where possible, regularly work remotely, and avoid unnecessary travel.

However, having a low carbon footprint isn't the same as having no carbon footprint at all.

We believe businesses should take responsibility for the environmental impact they create, regardless of size. That’s why we’ve taken the additional step of measuring and offsetting the emissions associated with our operations.

What carbon neutral means

Becoming carbon neutral means that, alongside efforts to reduce emissions wherever possible, we have invested in verified environmental projects that offset the emissions we generate.

Our certification has been achieved in partnership with Carbon Neutral Britain, which supports businesses in calculating and offsetting their carbon impact through initiatives including reforestation, renewable energy, and conservation projects.

Our certification can be independently verified by contacting info@carbonneutralbritain.org and requesting confirmation for Shabash Ltd.

Whether we’re developing automatic reference editing tools with Thrix, full document-editing solutions with Merops, or new software products in the future, we want sustainability to remain part of how we operate as a company.

Looking ahead

This certification is not intended as a one-time achievement. As Shabash grows, we’ll continue reviewing our environmental impact and looking for practical ways to reduce emissions at source.

We’re committed to being transparent about how we run our business and the choices we make. If you have any questions about our certification, please feel free to get in touch.

Thank you to our customers, partners, and supporters for helping us continue building software responsibly.
